TK
TK is a program which can be used to trim and test a wide variety of circuits. Orchid Software, Inc. offers a version of this program which can be used with GPIB devices for "functional trimming", as well as a version which supports the "programmable probes". (The programmable probes are a motorized probe assembly with up to three motor driven probes.) The list of program functions in this version of TK includes:
- DVOM measurement
- Ratio Bridge measurement (true ratio or absolute)
- DVOM trim (plunge or L cut)
- DVOM U cut
- DVOM Serpentine
- DVOM Edge Sense
- DVOM Measure-Predict trim
- DVOM Double Plunge
- DVOM "Reverse" L and Serpentine trims
- Ratio Bridge trim (either plunge or L cut)
- Ratio Bridge Serpentine
- Ratio Bridge Measure-Predict trim
- Character Generation
- Laser Marking
- 65 Volt power supply
- 16 or 32 Volt power supply
- Contact Closure Module
- Comment (place any text you wish here)
- Video Edge Sense (requires the optional video feature locator hardware)
- Branch (dynamically change the order that steps are executed)
- Math Sheet (enter a formula and calculate many of the trim parameters)
- and more...
The image below shows the main window for the TK program. To select a
function type, first click on the category tab (DVOM, Misc, etc.), and finally
click on the icon for the function you want. If you are unsure, click on the "?"
(question mark) icon and then click on one of the function icons. A context
sensitive help page will describe the function.
Program Highlights
TK features include:
- On- or Off-line step list creation or editing
- conversion program for DOS Turbo44 turnkey program's step lists
- character generation can be used for serial number marking or grading parts
- data logging -- MS Access format database files
- U cut trims are supported
- true ratio measurements with the ratio bridge measurement system (optional on the Model 44)
- steps can be executed individually from the interactive display
- yield information accumulated for part lots and, if the step and repeat handler is in use, for individual substrates
- support for the 65 volt power supply
- support for both the 32 and 16 volt power supplies
- contact closure module support
Computer Requirements
TK will run on virtually any PC computer under Windows XP or Vista. The computer must have a PCI bus and PCI BIOS. If the computer has sufficient memory to run the Windows Operating System, TK will also run.
A 17" or 19" LCD display is recommended.
On-Line Help
TK has context sensitive On-Line help. The F1 key will bring up a help window whenever you are confused about an input field on one of the forms used by the program.
Software Library
Win44 also comes with a Borland Delphi support library: Win44Lib.bpl.
This library is similar in nature to standard ".dll" files. With this
library and a copy of the Borland Delphi compiler, you can create your
own programs to drive the Model 44's hardware. Please have a look at the
Win44Lib Manual (click on the link below).
